Current statistics show that one in every eight women will develop breast cancer, the majority of who have no identifiable risk factors. This common cancer is not preventable but is much easier to treat and often cured when found early. Early detection of breast cancer is literally essential to survival.

Your gift makes early detection possible for many Alaskans. It allows us to travel to rural sites and provide mammograms to women who would otherwise not have access to screening. It also allows us to offer mammograms to women regardless of ability to pay.
